RD1 is a new trio that brings together seasoned world music explorers and multi-instrumentalists Craig Denham (accordion, keyboards, whistles and vocals) and Nathan Torvik (guitar, bass, mandolin, cello) with the queen of Lonesome Mountain music Callie Crider from North Carolina on vocals, mandolin and fiddle. They’re playing a mix of Appalachian, Americana, Swing, Gospel and original songs together with virtuosic instrumentals and other bits and pieces that take their fancy. Expect nice harmonies, lonesome soulful songs, pretty melodies and blazing tunes and improvisations that span and bend genres.
