Skin & Bone are a Dunedin five-piece swing band specialising in Great American Songbook standards with a healthy dose of their own quirky originals: John Dodd (double bass, vocals), Steve Hudson (drums, vocals), Mike Moroney (acoustic guitar, vocals), Anna Bowen (fiddle, mandolin, vocals), Emily Sterk (clarinet, sax). John, Mike and Anna have been playing together in various line-ups for nearly three decades, both in New Zealand and in Europe. Steve Hudson, a living legend, has played with many luminaries, both here and across the ditch, for more years than would be polite to mention. Emily Sterk is a more recent and younger addition, stolen from the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra.  This unique quintet plays the most infectious and  entertaining swing — original and traditional, with tight harmonies and great originality. They are the darlings of the Southern swing dance scene, attracting lindy-hoppers like Mortein-inflicted flies.
